Like discussed on their Nationals trip, Kurt Hummel and Rachel Berry, along with Blaine Anderson and much to everyone’s surprise, Finn Hudson, left their lives in Ohio to move to the big apple, New York City, after graduating.
What they didn’t expect was four other members of New Directions to somehow end up in the city too and, two years after graduating they all meet up in a quaint little coffee shop in the heart of New York. Mercedes admitted that, while LA was nice, it just wasn’t for her and she’d found a job singing in one of New York’s finest hotels. Brittany was a dancer on Kurt’s Broadway show, Mike after his bad breakup with Tina had moved to the city to clear his head, now working in the same coffee shop they met in currently.
Santana, much like Finn, had refused to let her partner go without her, now working as a manager in one of New York’s largest department stores. Finn was unemployed and, surprisingly, so was Rachel if her multiple auditions per week said anything. Blaine, while living with Kurt, was making ends meet by preforming in bars, cafes and streets corners across New York.
